A Medicare Agent Who Knows This Community — Because I'm Part of It
I've spent 12 years helping people in Rockford and northern Illinois make confident decisions about Medicare, Social Security, and health insurance. I'm not a call center. I'm not a national chain. I'm a licensed, independent broker who sits across the table from my clients — in English or Spanish — and helps them figure out what actually makes sense for their situation.
What Makes My Approach Different
I'm an independent broker, which means I represent several carriers and more than 75 plans in the Rockford area. I don't work for any single insurance company, and I don't have a quota to push you toward a particular plan. My job is to find the right coverage for you — and then explain it in plain language until it makes sense.
I'm also RSSA certified, one of the few insurance agents in Illinois who holds a Registered Social Security Analyst credential. That matters because Medicare and Social Security decisions are connected. Claiming Social Security at the wrong time can affect your Medicare premiums. I help clients see the full picture before they commit to anything.
We still believe that transparency is non-negotiable.
We still take the time to explain policies in everyday language.
And we still measure success by the trust and confidence our clients feel after every conversation.
We are a family-owned insurance agency that was established in 2014. Our primary mission is to serve three key demographics: Medicare Beneficiaries, Businesses with fewer than 500 employees, and Business Owners. As a family business, we understand the importance of personalized care and attention, which is why we strive to understand and cater to the unique needs of each of our clients. Our offices are located in Rockford, Illinois and we do offer in-person appointments. Our clients are located across Illinois and Wisconsin.
Our Mission
As an independent insurance agency, we have the advantage of access to a wide range of insurance carriers and plans. This allows us to offer a diverse array of options to our clients. We take the time to listen to your needs and wants, thoroughly research the plans available in your area, and make recommendations that are tailored to your specific situation. Our goal is to provide you with the best coverage possible, ensuring your peace of mind and financial security.

Serving Rockford and Northern Illinois Since 2014
I've been licensed since 2014, and in that time I've built relationships with senior centers, medical clinics, and community organizations across Winnebago County and beyond. A significant portion of my clients found me through a referral from someone they trust — a neighbor, a doctor's office, a community leader. That kind of trust isn't something you manufacture. It comes from showing up consistently and doing right by people.
My clients come from Rockford, Elgin, DeKalb, Carpentersville, Schaumburg, and the surrounding communities. Many of them are navigating Medicare for the first time. Some are returning to update their coverage during Annual Enrollment. Some are small business owners looking for group health options for their team. Whatever brought you here, you're in the right place.
Video Home Inventories: Document your belongings securely to simplify claims if the unexpected happens.
Side-by-Side Coverage Comparisons: See exactly how different policies stack up, so you can choose with confidence.
Transparent Quoting Process: No pressure, no confusion—just clear, educational conversations that put you in control.
Bilingual Service for the Hispanic Community
About 35 to 40 percent of my clients are Spanish-speaking, and I've built a practice that reflects that. I conduct consultations in both English and Spanish, and I offer free bilingual educational seminars on Medicare and Social Security throughout the year. If you or someone in your family has felt uncertain about insurance because of a language barrier, I want you to know that's not a barrier here.

Nearly 90 Google Reviews — and Counting
Nearly 90 verified Google reviews from real clients across northern Illinois. For a solo agent, that's not a number that happens by accident — it's the result of 12 years of answered calls, explained options, and problems solved.

Frequently asked questions
Is Jose Gloria an independent Medicare agent or does he work for one insurance company?
I'm fully independent. I represent 8 carriers and more than 75 Medicare plans in the Rockford area, which means I can compare options across the market and recommend what fits your needs — not what benefits any single company.
What does RSSA certified mean, and why does it matter for Medicare?
RSSA stands for Registered Social Security Analyst. It's a professional credential that qualifies me to provide detailed Social Security claiming guidance. Because Social Security and Medicare decisions are closely connected — including how your claiming age can affect your Medicare premiums — having both areas of knowledge under one roof helps clients make better-informed decisions overall.
Does Jose Gloria offer services in Spanish?
Yes. I conduct consultations in both English and Spanish and offer free bilingual seminars on Medicare and Social Security throughout the year. Serving the Spanish-speaking community in Rockford and northern Illinois is a core part of my practice.
What areas does The Gloria Agency serve?
My primary service area is Rockford and Winnebago County, with clients across Elgin, DeKalb, Carpentersville, Schaumburg, and the surrounding communities in northern Illinois. I meet with clients in person, by phone, or via Google Meet.
Are you a bilingual Medicare insurance agent serving the Elgin, Illinois area?
Yes. I serve clients throughout the Elgin area and Kane County in both English and Spanish. Whether you need help comparing Medicare Advantage plans, understanding your Part D drug coverage, or figuring out when to claim Social Security, I'm available for in-person or virtual appointments.
Ready to Talk Through Your Options?
There's no pressure and no obligation. I offer free appointments by phone, in person, or via Google Meet. If you're approaching Medicare for the first time, reviewing your current plan, or just not sure where to start — reach out and we'll figure it out together.
